Database & Development Coordinator

database (50%) - Utilize Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT

• Update our database with constituent and donation information;
• Produce weekly gift acknowledgments and reports;
• Assist in preparation of other requested reports and mailing lists for event invitations, newsletters, solicitations, departmental initiatives, etc.;
• Assist with event preparation tasks in coordination with Development staff; and
• Support the Membership Manager with administering and troubleshooting the database; strive to improve the functionality of the database to meet the needs of the organization and ensure useful, healthy, complete data.

development (25%) - Actively participate in the Development team

• Cultivate constituent relationships to foster community partnerships and cross-departmental collaborations;
• Understand and apply ShoreRivers’ annual fundraising strategy; and
• Contribute to departmental and organizational communications and outreach efforts by providing new perspectives and creative ideas.

administration (25%) - Represent the organization at the main office front desk

• Greet and assist visitors, volunteers, and supporters;
• Answer and route phone calls;
• Receive and route incoming mail and deliveries; and
• With the Officekeeper, coordinate organizational supplies.

The most critical skills for this position are attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage short-term and long-term priorities., The employee must have a strong commitment to environmental protection and subscribe to representing ShoreRivers’ mission and statement of inclusion.

Experience, skills & abilities

• Hands-on experience in Raiser’s Edge NXT Database View and WebView highly preferred, or experience in another customer relationship management tool;
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft and Google product platforms;
• Must have proven analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Must have excellent attention to detail;
• Must possess strong communication skills and a welcoming presence;
• Must be a team player willing to collaborate across departments;
• Effective at managing multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities and meeting deadlines;
• Ability to coordinate with various staff and volunteers as both a responsive and proactive collaborator when needed;
• An understanding of environmental issues that affect water quality, and knowledge of ecology and ecosystem functions preferred; and
• An associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus, but we welcome applicants from traditional and non-traditional education pathways.

The Database & Development Coordinator reports to the Membership Manager as an integral part of the Development Department and works in person out of the Easton office. This is a full-time position; must be flexible to work weekends, evenings, and longer hours when necessary, and to travel when necessary. The position is exempt, salaried, and “at-will.” The employee must live in the communities we serve. This full-time position will be paid a salary of $50,000-$55,000. The Database & Development Coordinator role has a planned start date on September 1, 2026., * Medical coverage, with 100% of base plan premiums for the employee covered by ShoreRivers.
