Job description

We are looking for a skilled IT Helpdesk Engineer to join our team at Paranova Print and Packaging. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about technology, eager to develop their skills, and enjoys working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

In this role, you will play a key part in providing technical support across the business, helping to maintain efficient and reliable IT systems.

Due to the nature of the position, occasional travel to UK sites - and potentially European locations - will be required. There will also be a need to provide occasional out-of-hours support to ensure business continuity.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Provide first-line technical support via phone, email, and in person
  • Log, triage, and resolve support tickets within agreed SLAs
  • Troubleshoot issues with Windows 10/11, Office 365, printers, scanners, and mobile devices
  • Support users with password resets, account access, and basic network issues
  • Set up and configure new user accounts, laptops, desktops, and peripherals
  • Escalate complex issues to 2nd Line or specialist teams when required
  • Maintain accurate documentation and asset records
  • Assist with routine maintenance, patching, and system checks
  • Support production-critical systems and printing equipment where required

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * Previous experience in a 1st Line / Service Desk should be preferred but not essential

  • Good understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
  • Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPN)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy manufacturing environment
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine interest in IT
  • Experience supporting printers or print-related systems
  • Exposure to Active Directory, Azure AD, or Intune
  • ITIL Foundation should also be advantageous
  • Driving licence (depending on site requirements)
