Job description

Our client is seeking a remote Solution Architect to support large federal contracts. This individual will be responsible for, Develop technical solutions for federal and DoD proposals and translate them into high-quality, customer-focused proposal language.

Author and contribute to technical proposal volumes, ensuring clarity, compliance, and responsiveness to Section L/M.

Review solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) to understand requirements, assumptions, risks, and constraints.

Collaborate with Capture, Proposal Management, and SMEs to incorporate win themes and discriminators into proposal content.

Create technical artifacts such as narratives, diagrams, workflows, and tables to support the proposed solution.

Participate in solution reviews and color team reviews, revising content based on feedback.

Ensure alignment between technical approach, staffing, and pricing assumptions.

Contribute to and maintain technical content libraries and reusable proposal materials.

Requirements

3-5 years of experience in writing technical proposal content for federal or DoD solicitations.

Excellent proposal writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive, and compliant proposal narratives.

Familiarity with federal and DoD acquisition processes and proposal structures.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools such as SharePoint.

Ability to manage deadlines and deliver high-quality work in a proposal-driven environment. Experience supporting DoD agencies or components.

Hands-on technical background (e.g., software development, systems engineering, cybersecurity, cloud engineering, DevSecOps) that strengthens solution credibility.

Exposure to IT modernization, cybersecurity, cloud, DevSecOps, AI/ML solutions, and no-code/low-code platforms such as Appian, ServiceNow, and Salesforce in federal environments.

Familiarity with APMP or Shipley proposal best practices.

Experience supporting oral proposals or technical demonstrations.
