Job description

HireArt is helping a leading AI technology company find an autonomous, highly organized Data Capture Technician and Team Lead to oversee and execute reality capture projects across construction sites throughout Texas.

In this role, you’ll lead on-the-ground data collection operations supporting AI-driven construction and infrastructure initiatives. You’ll manage field technicians, coordinate project schedules, ensure data quality and site safety, and serve as a key operational link between field teams, construction partners, and project stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, comfortable working independently in dynamic field environments, and experienced coordinating teams or site-based operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and execute reality capture projects across assigned construction sites, ensuring high-quality and comprehensive data collection.
  • Coordinate schedules, logistics, and deployment activities for regional field technicians and active project sites.
  • Provide backup field coverage when technicians are unavailable to ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Monitor project pipelines, identify potential coverage gaps, and proactively escalate logistical, operational, or safety concerns.
  • Ensure all work adheres to site-specific safety requirements and established data quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary communication point between field technicians, site managers, client stakeholders, and internal project teams.
  • Support operational planning, field execution, and ongoing process improvements across regional projects.
  • Utilize mobile applications, scheduling platforms, and specialized capture equipment to support field operations and reporting.
  • Must be based in the Austin, Texas, area
  • Ability to travel regularly to local and regional construction sites
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday for 35+ hours per week

Requirements

Do you have experience in Supervising experience?, * Proven experience coordinating teams, managing field operations, or leading site-based projects

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage changing schedules and competing priorities
  • Self-starter mentality with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Comfortable walking long distances, navigating uneven terrain, and standing for extended periods on active construction sites
  • Comfortable using mobile applications, scheduling tools, and specialized field equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate operational bottlenecks and adapt quickly
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills, * Experience working on active construction sites
  • Background in construction management, surveying, civil engineering, or site-based operational leadership
  • Experience supporting field data collection, reality capture, or infrastructure-related projects
  • Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and operational best practices
