Job description

We are looking for a skilled Systems & Network Engineer to own the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of our network infrastructure across both on-premises and Azure cloud environments. This is a hands-on role with broad technical ownership, spanning core networking, wireless, firewalls, application delivery, and hybrid cloud connectivity.

You will work closely with systems, security, and cloud teams to build and support a resilient, secure, and well-documented infrastructure for a fast-moving, security-conscious business.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, configure, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across on-premises sites, data centers, and Azure cloud environments, including routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, and load balancing
  • Administer and troubleshoot Azure networking components, including VNet architecture, peering, VPN/ExpressRoute connectivity, Network Security Groups, and Azure Load Balancer
  • Manage enterprise switching and routing infrastructure, with strong working knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, spanning tree, and hybrid network design
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls, including security policies, ACLs, NAT, and perimeter access controls
  • Maintain and support application delivery infrastructure, including F5 BIG-IP load balancers for internal and externally facing services
  • Engineer, support, and optimize enterprise wireless infrastructure, including secure SSID design, segmentation, 802.1X/RADIUS authentication, and guest access controls
  • Own and support hybrid connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring secure, reliable, and well-documented network paths for all workloads
  • Partner with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams on projects to ensure network dependencies are identified, designed, and addressed early
  • Serve as a key escalation point for network-related incidents, leading troubleshooting efforts with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term resolution
  • Work with ISPs, telecom providers, and circuit vendors to troubleshoot WAN and transport-related issues and coordinate service restoration when needed
  • Maintain accurate network diagrams, technical documentation, standards, and change records
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to network architecture, performance, resiliency, and security as business needs evolve

Requirements

Do you have experience in VLAN?, * 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in a mid-to-large enterprise environment

  • Strong experience with routing and switching fundamentals, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and core network troubleshooting
  • Experience administering enterprise firewalls in production environments
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud networking across on-premises and Azure
  • Solid Azure networking experience, including VNets, VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, NSGs, peering, and Azure Load Balancer
  • Experience with application delivery controllers, with F5 BIG-IP strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise wireless platforms such as Meraki, Aruba, or similar
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills, including the ability to work systematically under pressure and coordinate across teams during outages
  • Experience operating as a Tier 2/Tier 3 escalation point in a production or 24x7 support environment is strongly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and document work clearly

Nice to Have

Relevant certifications such as:

  • CCNA / CCNP
  • Juniper JNCIA / JNCIS
  • Aruba ACSA
  • Azure Network Engineer Associate
  • Fortinet NSE or equivalent
  • Experience with Juniper EX, QFX, MX, Cisco ASA, Meraki, or similar enterprise networking platforms
  • Exposure to network security tooling, microsegmentation, or Zero Trust network principles
  • Experience supporting a Microsoft/Azure hybrid environment, including Active Directory, Azure Virtual Desktop, Exchange hybrid, or related technologies
  • Experience in environments with strong operational rigor, including incident management, change control, and documentation standards
