GIS Analyst

We are seeking an experienced GIS Platform Business Analyst to support and enhance an enterprise ArcGIS Enterprise platform. This role will serve as the operational lead for platform support activities, driving incident management, backlog prioritization, security remediation efforts, testing coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives., Platform Operations & Support

• Lead incident intake, triage, prioritization, and resolution tracking for the enterprise GIS platform.
• Coordinate with technology teams to ensure timely resolution of production issues and platform-related challenges.
• Monitor platform health and identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness.

Backlog & Agile Delivery Management

• Own and manage the platform backlog, including epics, user stories, defects, enhancements, and technical debt.
• Partner closely with Product Owners and leadership to prioritize work based on business value, risk, and operational needs.
• Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization discussions.
• Ensure work items are properly documented and tracked within Jira.

Security & Risk Management

• Track and manage security vulnerabilities, including CVE-related risks and remediation efforts.
• Coordinate with security and technology teams to prioritize and resolve identified vulnerabilities.
• Provide visibility into security-related risks and remediation progress.

Testing & Release Coordination

• Coordinate testing activities across technology and business stakeholders.
• Support test planning, execution, defect tracking, and release readiness efforts.
• Ensure enhancements and fixes are validated before deployment.

Continuous Improvement

• Facilitate retrospectives and lessons-learned sessions.
• Drive process improvements that enhance platform reliability, operational efficiency, and team effectiveness.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend sustainable solutions.

Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

• Provide leadership reporting on platform performance, backlog status, risks, impediments, and delivery progress.
• Communicate priorities, dependencies, and project updates to business and technical stakeholders.
• Serve as a liaison between technology teams, business partners, and leadership.

Do you have experience in Stakeholder relationship building?, The ideal candidate combines strong Business Analysis skills with Agile delivery experience and the ability to coordinate across technology and business teams. This individual will play a key role in ensuring platform stability, managing competing priorities, and providing visibility into platform health, risks, and delivery progress., * 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Operations Analyst, or similar role.

• Experience supporting enterprise applications or platforms in a production environment.
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Hands-on experience managing backlogs, user stories, defects, and sprint priorities.
• Experience using Jira for work management and reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting ArcGIS Enterprise or GIS-related platforms.
• GIS coursework, certifications, or related technical background.
• Experience coordinating testing and release activities.
• Familiarity with security remediation processes and vulnerability management.
• Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agile-related certifications.
• Experience facilitating retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
