The IT Support Specialist will provide crucial support for resolving intermediate technical issues, ensuring smooth operations, and user satisfaction. This role will handle day-to-day support tickets, help administer our Microsoft 365 environment, work with virtualized Windows and Linux servers, and keep networks and systems running smoothly.

Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support to end users across multiple companies - hardware, software, accounts, printers, peripherals, install, deploy, MDM, and troubleshoot

  • Help implement, manage, and support our Microsoft 365 environment (user provisioning, licensing, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Intune basics)
  • Work with virtual machines across both Windows Server and Linux - spin up, maintain, troubleshoot, and patch
  • Troubleshoot Windows, macOS workstation and server-level
  • Set up new hire workstations, manage asset inventory, and handle offboarding
  • Assist with basic network troubleshooting - Wi-Fi, VPN, switches, DNS, DHCP
  • Document solutions and build out our internal knowledge base
  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) as part of your daily problem-solving toolkit
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately - with a clear write-up of what you’ve already tried
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS administration?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to proactively problem-solve
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to adapt to new processes and procedures quickly
  • Results-driven, positive team player
  • Proficiency with Windows and Mac operating systems, common office applications, and network connectivity issues

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 1-4 years of IT support experience (help desk, MSP, or internal IT)
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems
  • Experience managing the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
  • Experience working with virtual machines on both Windos Server and Linux (Hyper-V, VMware, Proxmox, VirtualBox)
  • Experience supporting business printers is a plus
  • Experience with active directory, remote desktop tools, and IT service management systems is a plus
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are a plus
