Job description
As a Field IT Technician, you will serve as the hands-on technology resource across Tsunami’s growing portfolio of locations. From network infrastructure and surveillance systems to new site openings and field troubleshooting, this role is responsible for ensuring our sites stay operational, connected, and supported.
This is a builder’s role for someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems in the field, and helping scale the infrastructure that supports a rapidly growing company.
What You’ll Own:
Network Infrastructure & Support
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure across all locations
- Support low-voltage cabling, RJ45 terminations, switches, routers, and connectivity troubleshooting
- Ensure all field technology aligns with standards established by IT leadership
Surveillance & Security Systems
- Deploy and maintain SpotAI cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and surveillance hardware
- Troubleshoot camera performance, connectivity, and recording issues
- Coordinate with vendors and partners to resolve escalated technology concerns
New Site Openings
- Lead the field IT scope for new location openings
- Install and commission networks, surveillance systems, and operational hardware
- Support technology readiness and final site sign-off prior to opening
Field Troubleshooting & Vendor Coordination
- Respond to hardware, network, and surveillance issues requiring in-person support
- Coordinate with external vendors, including MSP partners and technology providers
- Escalate recurring or large-scale technology concerns as needed
Documentation & Organization
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, equipment inventories, cabling layouts, and camera configurations
- Ensure field documentation remains current and organized
- Support consistency and scalability across all locations, Travel will include site installations, troubleshooting, new location openings, and operational support. Flexibility and responsiveness are important components of this position, including occasional on-call support for urgent field issues.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Vendor relationship management?, * Hands-on networking experience including installation, troubleshooting, and low-voltage cabling
- Experience with RJ45 terminations, switches, routers, and IP-based networking
- Familiarity with IP cameras and surveillance systems; SpotAI experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field
- Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel extensively
- Flexibility for occasional on-call support and urgent field response
