Job description
The candidate will function as an Infrastructure Project Manager (PM) for an advanced research and development (R&D) program. The Infrastructure PM will lead the development, management, and execution of a portfolio of military construction and renovation projects, including laboratories, office space, hangars, and fleet facilities meeting ICD-705 standards for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIFs) and Special Access Program Facility (SAPFs).
The Infrastructure PM will serve as the primary execution lead, directing a matrixed project team that includes Site Security Managers (SSMs), Facilities Engineers, logisticians, and administrative coordinators. They will develop, route, and manage documentation to support construction funding and execution, including Statements of Work (SOWs), concept requests, and master schedules. The Infrastructure PM will collaborate with all construction stakeholders, including NAVFAC execution agents, prime contractors, and internal program leadership, to ensure projects are executed on time, on budget, and successfully transition to the operational end-user.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Construction industry experience?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, Required Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Required Experience: Candidate must have at least ten (10) years of relevant experience with at least five (5) of those years related to construction management, facilities planning, or infrastructure project execution.
Desired Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management or related industry certifications.
Desired Experience:
- Familiarity with DoD facilities documentation including DD 1391, concept requests, and construction security plans.
- Experience working with NAVFAC or navigating DoD MILCON processes.
- Candidate should be proficient in all Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and have experience with Adobe Acrobat and share point style file sharing systems.
- Candidate should have demonstrated outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Candidate should have experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained, and complex security environment. Special Access Program experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with ICD-705 construction standards is highly desired.
Allowable Experience/Education Substitutions: Experience cannot be substituted for education.
Security Clearance Required: A Final DoD Top Secret Clearance.
