Job description
Rolling Hills Country Day School is looking for a new Technology Assistant to assist throughout both the school year and summer. The Technology Assistant will be responsible for providing technical support to the school’s faculty and staff, making sure there are little to no disruptions to the school day. This on-site role works directly with the Director of Technology to support all technology throughout the school’s campus. This position’s main responsibilities include:
- Respond to support tickets and requests in a timely manner
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues
- Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software
- Yearly maintenance tasks such as rostering students and refreshing student hardware
- Keeping a tracker of the school’s technology correctly updated
- Execute password resets and account access issues
- Resolving basic networking issues
- Replacing and confirming orders of printer toner
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures
- Strong communication and workflow with the school’s Director of Technology
Requirements
Do you have experience in macOS?, * Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of or ability to learn Google Education Suite
- Strong familiarity with Mac OS
- Introductory network skills (TCP/IP, WiFi troubleshooting)
- Introductory server management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Patience with non-technical users
- Ability to explain technical issues in non-technical terms
