Job description
The Solutions Architect serves as a senior technical leader supporting D&G Solutions’ business development, capture, and growth initiatives across the Department of Defense, with an initial focus on the United States Space Force. This role translates customer mission requirements into integrated solution strategies spanning logistics, supply chain modernization, sustainment, mission systems, advanced analytics, and digital transformation. Working at the intersection of customer engagement, technical delivery, and growth strategy, the Solution Architect helps position D&G’s capabilities to solve complex mission challenges while ensuring proposed solutions are executable, innovative, and mission-focused.
What You Will Do
- Lead end-to-end solution development across multiple capability areas, integrating technical, operational, and programmatic requirements into cohesive solution architectures.
- Translate customer mission requirements into differentiated solution concepts leveraging D&G’s capabilities in logistics optimization, supply chain analytics, predictive maintenance, sustainment, mission readiness, and digital transformation.
- Develop technical approaches, solution briefs, white papers, proposal content, and executive-level presentations supporting capture and proposal efforts.
- Partner with Business Development and Capture leadership to shape opportunity strategies, competitive positioning, and win themes throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
- Engage directly with government customers, program offices, and contracting activities to establish technical credibility and inform solution development.
- Lead and support industry days, capability briefings, demonstrations, and senior stakeholder engagements.
- Identify opportunities to integrate capabilities across practice areas and address solution gaps early in the opportunity lifecycle.
- Serve as a bridge between business development, program management, and technical delivery teams to ensure continuity from capture through execution.
- Coordinate with pricing, contracts, and subcontracting teams to ensure proposed solutions are achievable, compliant, and cost competitive.
- Mentor solution architects, subject matter experts, and business development personnel on solution framing, customer engagement, and architecture principles.
- Monitor emerging DoD modernization initiatives, digital transformation priorities, and supply chain resilience efforts to support proactive positioning.
- Champion the integration of AI/ML, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision support tools into future solution architectures.
- Represent D&G Solutions at industry forums, working groups, conferences, and customer engagements., * Experience supporting United States Space Force programs or mission environments.
- Experience supporting AI/ML, advanced analytics, or data-driven solution development for logistics, sustainment, or readiness missions.
- Prior military service with operational logistics, sustainment, maintenance, or mission support experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Team leadership?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Logistics, or a related discipline, or Master’s degree in a technology-related field.
- 10 or more years of progressive experience in solution architecture, technical strategy, systems integration, program leadership, or related roles supporting federal defense or government customers.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading capture efforts for Department of Defense programs.
- Deep expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Defense logistics
- Supply chain management
- Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations
- Sustainment analytics
- Space enterprise operations
- Mission systems integration
- Experience engaging directly with government stakeholders, acquisition organizations, and senior leaders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences., * Active TS/SCI
