Job description
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Network Cabling Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunication and data cabling systems that form the backbone of modern IT infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure reliable network connectivity across various facilities, supporting essential services such as LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), Ethernet, telephony, and fiber optic systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment and construction tools while contributing to critical network infrastructure projects., * Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems including fiber optic splicing and copper cabling for LAN, Ethernet, and telecommunication networks.
- Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, power tools, and hand tools safely to access difficult or elevated work areas.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams related to network infrastructure and electrical systems.
- Climb ladders, towers, or poles as needed to install or repair cabling in various environments while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct fiber splicing and testing to ensure optimal signal quality and network performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of cabling layouts, schematics, and installation procedures for future reference.
- Collaborate with IT teams and construction crews to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure within building projects.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Power tools?, * Proven experience in field service roles involving telecommunication cabling, computer networking, or electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as bucket trucks used in cable installation projects.
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring, Ethernet standards, LAN/WAN configurations, and telephony systems.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and construction plans related to network infrastructure.
- Ability to perform fiber splicing with precision and troubleshoot fiber optic issues effectively.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and the use of power tools in construction environments.
- Prior experience working on telecommunication projects involving climbing structures or working at heights is highly desirable.
