Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Telecommunications Technician to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of telecommunication systems. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance of network infrastructure for our clients.   • Perform fiber splicing and cable terminations with precision to ensure high-quality connectivity.
  • Set up and configure Cisco routers and switches to support network infrastructure needs.
  • Conduct network installation activities, including cabling, patching, and equipment setup in various field locations.
  • Use hand tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices to diagnose issues and verify system integrity.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities for accurate record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to resolve technical issues promptly while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Wiring and circuitry work?, * Proven experience as a service technician or in a related telecommunications field.

  • Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, TCP/IP protocols, and network hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, cabling, and low voltage electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, and telecommunication equipment.
  • Ability to use hand tools, electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters, and mechanical knowledge for system assembly.
  • Prior field service experience working on telecommunication or electrical systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent mechanical skills combined with a solid understanding of low voltage wiring standards.
  • Ability to work independently in various environments while maintaining safety protocols.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
