Job description
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced cybersecurity professionals to monitor, assess, and strengthen enterprise network security controls while supporting ongoing security and compliance initiatives., * Monitor and investigate network security alerts and events
- Support network security operations and compliance initiatives
- Perform network security assessments for firewall and infrastructure changes
- Review firewall rule requests and connectivity requests for security risks
- Analyze network traffic and identify potential threats or policy violations
- Support vulnerability management activities using tools such as Nessus or Qualys
- Assist with network monitoring, IDS/IPS operations, and SIEM analysis
- Participate in firewall configuration reviews and rule recertification efforts
- Collaborate with technical teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Assist with cloud and on-premises security projects
- Develop reports, metrics, and trend analyses to support cybersecurity operations
- Research emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies

This position is ideal for a security professional with hands-on networking experience who is looking to grow their career in cybersecurity operations, network defense, and security engineering., * 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network administration, network engineering, cybersecurity, or related IT disciplines
- Experience with routing and switching technologies
- Experience supporting enterprise firewalls
- Understanding of secure network design principles
- Experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
- Familiarity with network monitoring and security tools
- Ability to analyze logs, alerts, and network telemetry
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Network-focused certification such as CCNA or PCNSE, * Security+ or CISSP certification
- Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or QRadar
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus or Qualys
- Experience supporting cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
- Knowledge of NIST, FISMA, HIPAA, or similar security frameworks
- Experience supporting highly regulated environments, * Bachelor’s (Required), * network design, implementation, support: 3 years (Required)
- IT security or system admin: 1 year (Required)
- network design, architecture, compliance, and access models: 1 year (Required)
- Microsoft Office: 1 year (Required)
