Job description

An employer is looking for a DevOps Manager to lead and mentor a globally distributed DevOps team while partnering closely with engineering, product, QA, security, and IT teams to enable fast, secure, and reliable software delivery. They will drive platform engineering initiatives, including building and scaling internal developer platforms that reduce friction and enable self-service infrastructure provisioning. The role will oversee CI/CD pipelines, GitHub-centric workflows, infrastructure-as-code, and containerization strategies across AWS environments. They will also be responsible for embedding shift-left security, SRE practices, observability, and governance into the delivery lifecycle while ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and regulatory standards. Additionally, this person will manage cloud cost optimization efforts and track key DevOps metrics such as deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR, and change failure rate. The role will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, helping shape long-term DevOps and platform strategy.

Requirements

Proven experience leading enterprise DevOps architecture for a multi-tenant SaaS platform, ideally with microservices at scale

-Strong people leadership background, including managing and mentoring distributed DevOps or platform engineering teams

-Deep hands-on expertise with AWS, CI/CD, GitHub/GitOps, Terraform (IaC), and containerized cloud-native environments

-Demonstrated success building internal developer platforms that enable self-service infrastructure and standardized deployment patterns

-Solid experience embedding security-first and compliance practices (e.g., SOC 2) into the software delivery lifecycle

-Ability to partner with engineering, security, IT, and executive leadership to drive DevOps strategy, cost optimization, and operational excellence -Insurance Technology experience

Benefits & conditions

Compensation for this role is 165-185k per year annually plus bonus. Compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role may include generous paid time off, medical and dental insurance offerings, and 401k.
