Job description

Performing engineering assignments relative to the operations and maintenance of the customer system
Demonstrate a strong understanding and use of programming skills.
Possess a logical and disciplined approach to developing algorithms, analyzing, and solving programming problems in support of the customer system.
Perform manual software assurance reviews and automated software assurance reviews.
Design, develop, test, document, and maintain software or systems to include requirements documentation, design documentation, configuration documentation, test documentation, training materials, and user manuals.
Analyse, predict, and estimate potential consequences of changes prior to deployment of software solutions and modifications.
Provide scalability, maintainability, and performance documentation prior to implementation of modifications to the customer system.
Plan and track any information and new development features for future software releases.
Ability to provide software solutions in a cloud-based software development environment, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Facilitate program optimization and performance through software profiling and performance tuning.
Assist with software configuration management to include version controls, bug/issue tracking, and software build tools.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, i.e., engineering, computer science, or information sciences
4+ years of software engineering experience with Java and large software development programs
3+ years using Oracle and service-oriented architecture (SOA) interfaces to web-based applications
Experience with AWS cloud services.
