Job description
Operations Foreman will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day saltwater disposal facilities and pipeline operations. This exempt-level position will provide leadership and direction to personnel, rendering hands-on assistance as needed, and will be generally accountable for all aspects of operations within the assigned area.
Operations Foreman should have a good understanding of the overall operation of Saltwater disposal wells. To be proactive and identify potential problems that could affect employees, environmental and surface equipment, including environmental, truck offloads, tank battery, pipeline operation, filtration, centrifugal pumps, plunger pumps, horizonal pumps, and a good understanding of the down hole equipment.
Responsibilities
- Manages a local workforce of field employees- motivates, trains and leads employees to achieve a safe, efficient and cost effective operation;
- Manages, schedules and ensures appropriate staffing levels at each facility;
- Monitors and approves expenses, and provides cost control and adherence to the budget;
- Maintains compliance with all appropriate regulatory requirements, and administers and adheres to Goodnight Midstream EHS Policy and Procedures;
- Ensures Operations and EHS program scheduling, training and attendance;
- Promotes Safety awareness and a Safety Culture;
- Promotes, develops and maintains positive customer/client/landowner relationships;
- Proactively identifies and addresses potential or developing field issues, alerting management for remediation.
- Manages the maintenance program for each assigned facility- identifies and addresses equipment failures;
- Establishes a workforce of dependable, compliant and cost-effective contractors as a supplemental workforce.
- Conducts business with the highest ethical standards;
- Other tasks and projects may be assigned, as needed.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Safety management within oil & gas industry?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, High School Diploma or equivalent is required; College degree preferred; Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant and directly related expeirence is required. Saltwater disposal experience would be strongly preferred. Candidate should possess prior experience, and a solid track record, of managing and leading staff. Demonstrated knowledge of safe oil and gas production operations and strong project management skills required. Must have the ability and willingness to spend long hours in the field during critical activities. MS Office proficiency and high level of comfort with computers and various technology.
The candidate should be highly skilled in the following areas: project management, problem solving, task prioritization, active listening, verbal and written communication. This position requires a self-starter/self-learner that demonstrates clear accountability and can adapt easily whether working independently or with a team. The candidate must have a strong sense of urgency and sound judgment. Must possess a strong work ethic, ability to manage multiple projects and staff simultaneously and meet deadlines. This candidate must be able to work independently and make sound decisions.
