Job description
- Own complex RMF control domains independently, producing ATO-quality SSP sections, evidence packages, and POA&M entries.
- Serve as a senior technical peer to the Cybersecurity Lead; lead cyber team technical activities and provide guidance across the team as needed.
- Lead cybersecurity architecture reviews for assigned system components; ensure Zero Trust principles and DoW STIG requirements are applied consistently.
- Design and implement continuous monitoring strategies for assigned control domains; establish automated alerting and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with the DevSecOps Lead on advanced pipeline security integration and ATO Compression toolchain validation.
- Lead assigned ST&E preparation and execution; author technical portions of ST&E reports and risk acceptance recommendations.
- Mentor Level III and IV Cybersecurity Engineers; review STIG work, POA&M entries, and control evidence packages for quality.
Requirements

- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Top SECRET security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in cybersecurity on classified DoW programs, with demonstrated senior technical leadership on RMF-governed systems.
- Experience independently owning ATO package development on classified programs, including SSP authorship and control evidence curation.
- Deep familiarity with NIST SP 800-53, RMF (DoDI 8510.01), Zero Trust Architecture, and DoW STIGs across multiple technology stacks.
- DoW 8140 IAT Level II or III certification required (CISSP, CASP+, or equivalent).
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
- Current U.S. Government Top SECRET clearance.
- Experience supporting DoW, U.S. Space Force, or Space Systems Command programs in IL4/IL5/IL6 environments.
- Experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) or SAP accreditation environments.
- CISSP, CCSP, or CISM certification.
- Experience with AWS GovCloud security architecture and cloud-native RMF implementation.
