GIS Technician

We are seeking a detail oriented GIS Technician to support geospatial data management and mapping activities within GE Smallworld and ESRI environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with complex datasets, supporting utility focused GIS workflows, and contributing to high accuracy mapping and asset management initiatives.

You will be responsible for manipulating, validating, and maintaining GIS data from multiple sources, supporting engineering and operations teams, and ensuring data integrity across enterprise systems., * Manipulate, edit, and maintain GIS data within GE Smallworld and other enterprise GIS platforms

• Integrate and validate data from multiple sources to support mapping, asset management, and engineering workflows
• Produce, update, and maintain maps, layers, and spatial datasets used by internal stakeholders
• Support quality control processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with utility standards
• Collaborate with engineering, field operations, and GIS teams to resolve data issues and improve data workflows
• Assist with documentation, metadata updates, and GIS process improvements

Do you have experience in Mapping using GIS?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Minimum 2 years of GIS experience in a professional environment

• Experience with GE Smallworld strongly preferred
• Strong background with ESRI ArcGIS tools and extensions
• Utility, telecom, or infrastructure GIS experience preferred
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
• Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and documentation standards
