Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented GIS Analyst to support geographic information systems development, mapping, spatial data analysis, and GIS database maintenance. This position is responsible for collecting, organizing, analyzing, documenting, and displaying geographically referenced information to support GIS programs and projects., * Create, update, and maintain GIS data, maps, and related records.

  • Compile and integrate cartographic and spatial data from various sources.
  • Perform GIS data analysis, quality assurance, geo-referencing, format conversions, and projection/datum transformations.
  • Assist with the development and deployment of web mapping applications.
  • Use GIS software such as ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, GPS tools, and related data conversion software.
  • Prepare metadata, reports, map products, and documentation.
  • Assist with GPS field work and spatial data accuracy assessments.
  • Provide technical support to GIS users and assist with GIS-related questions or projects.
  • Ensure GIS data and procedures follow established standards, policies, and guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Mapping using GIS?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Cartography, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field preferred.

  • Two years of experience using GIS preferred.
  • Equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of GIS systems such as ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and related mapping tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prepare reports, interpret spatial data, and communicate effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred., * Which GIS software or tools have you used?

Education:

  • Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Experience:

  • GIS: 2 years (Required)
  • AutoCAD: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Florida Drivers License (Preferred)

Benefits & conditions

This position is mostly sedentary and office-based, with extended computer use. Some outdoor field work may be required.

Pay: From $33.00 per hour
