Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Wellness Support Specialist/Medication Technician to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide essential medication management and wellness support to residents in a family style assisted living. Your expertise will help ensure safe medication administration, promote overall well-being, and support individuals with diverse needs such as dementia, and hospice care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve while working in a dynamic and supportive environment., * Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while adhering to medical documentation standards

  • Monitoring and documentation of resident’s vital signs
  • Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound care, insulin administration
  • Maintain medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
  • Support residents with daily activities related to senior care, memory care, hospice, dementia, and home care needs with compassion and professionalism
  • Collaborate with nursing to coordinate medication administration
  • Uphold patient confidentiality by strictly following HIPAA guidelines while managing sensitive medical information
  • Prepare and cook meals for residents following FDA guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents

Requirements

Do you have experience in Records management?, * Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments with a focus on senior or disability care

  • Knowledge of medication administration techniques
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is highly
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and acute care procedures
  • Experience working with individuals with cognitive impairments like Alzheimer’s or dementia is advantageous
  • Ability to handle medical documentation accurately while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA standards
  • Excellent caregiving skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient-centered care
