Job description
Perform a variety of engineering tasks in design, development, verification, and troubleshooting of our electronic control and monitoring circuitry for powered equipment applications., * Ability to perform all safety critical functions. The product must be built to the designated specs approved and cannot be deviated or substituted. The control, performance and tolerance are essential for the part to function so that it does not jeopardize public safety or it’s compliance with government regulations.
- Must be able to recognize and call the critical characteristic symbols as listed on the blueprints.
- Participate in both electrical schematic, and PCB design/layout.
- Work with customers to ensure that design and functional performance of components meet the specified needs and deadlines. This also includes traveling as needed.
- Participate in and/or lead cross-functional teams to migrate new designs into a successful production environment, and to ensure compliance with industry/automotive regulatory standards.
- Design and lead the development of new testing hardware and software to support new product development and manufacturing operations.
- Develop, test and troubleshoot applications and test software for new and existing products.
- Support existing products by analyzing circuits and software for potential applications/solutions.
- Review/Lead new and existing product testing for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), ensuring the capability of electronic equipment or systems to operate as intended.
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
- Understanding of automotive specifications and requirements: ISO 16750/7637, SAE J1113, CISPR25, ISO 10605
- DMM (Voltmeter/Ammeter)
- Oscilloscope
- Power Supply
- Function Generator
- CAN network communication and analysis devices
- Automation equipment wiring/troubleshooting
- Computer skills - C/C++ programming (Embedded), Visual Studio, PADS/Mentor Graphics: Logic, Layout, Router, LabVIEW, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ..etc.)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
