API Integration Developer

We are seeking an experienced API Integration Developer Lead to drive the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade API integrations supporting Plaid, Zelle, and future fintech partner ecosystems. This role will lead the engineering effort for Open API Framework development, real-time payment integrations, financial data connectivity, and modernization initiatives., * Lead the design and development of scalable API integration solutions.

• Drive implementation of Plaid Core Exchange and Zelle integrations.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration frameworks.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to define integration requirements.
• Ensure secure handling of financial data, authentication, token management, and webhook processing.
• Support fraud monitoring integrations and transaction risk scoring capabilities.
• Develop reusable API frameworks, versioning standards, and developer tooling.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical leadership activities.
• Support certification, testing, and deployment activities for financial network integrations.
• Mentor development teams and establish API development best practices.

Do you have experience in Systems integration?, * 8+ years of software engineering and API development experience.

• Strong experience integrating Plaid APIs (Auth, Balance, Transactions, Core Exchange).
• Experience implementing Zelle or real-time payment integrations.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, Open Banking, and FDX standards.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or similar backend technologies.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Knowledge of financial services, banking integrations, and payment ecosystems.
• Familiarity with security, compliance, tokenization, and data privacy requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Early Warning Services (EWS) ecosystem.
• Experience with fraud monitoring and risk scoring solutions.
• Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Financial services or credit union experience.

Pay: $108,310.91 - $130,000.00 per year
