Job description

In this role, you’ll monitor for security events, assist with resolving moderately complex issues across systems configuration, endpoint protection, and access management, and escalate to senior analysts when appropriate., * Monitor security alerts, logs, and events for potential threats, escalating as needed.

  • Assist with investigating and triaging security incidents and suspicious activity.
  • Create and maintain security tickets, documentation, and knowledge base articles.
  • Support endpoint security, antivirus/EDR tools, and patch management across Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Server environments.
  • Help administer user accounts, access controls, and basic identity/permission management.
  • Assist with vulnerability scans and tracking remediation efforts.
  • Support remote monitoring and maintenance of internal and client systems using management software.
  • Document security processes and help maintain workflow procedures.
  • Provide phone and remote support for security-related questions from staff and students.
  • Occasional on-site visits to client offices for security support functions.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Research?, This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their cybersecurity career - recent graduates, boot camp completers, or career-changers with foundational certifications are encouraged to apply. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, project-based environment while building real-world security skills under the guidance of senior team members. No prior professional security experience is required - just a strong foundation, a willingness to learn, and genuine enthusiasm for the field., * Foundational understanding of networking, operating systems, and security concepts.

  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Server technologies.
  • Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or A+ are a strong plus (or willingness to earn them).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A team player who stays composed in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
  • A balance of customer-service soft skills and technical aptitude.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in the cybersecurity field.
