Our growing litigation law firm is seeking an IT Help Desk Specialist to join our team and support the firm’s expanding technology needs. Reporting directly to the firm’s IT Manager, this position will provide day-to-day technical support for attorneys and staff, assist with conference room technology, and help ensure seamless technology operations across the firm. As the firm continues to grow, this role offers the opportunity to expand into eDiscovery support and other advanced technology responsibilities., Help Desk & Technical Support
- Provide first-level technical support for attorneys and staff in a Windows-based environment.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and user-access issues.
- Set up, configure, and maintain computers, monitors, docking stations, peripherals, and related equipment.
- Respond to support requests submitted via email, calendar invitations, and other internal communication channels.
- Assist with user onboarding, workstation setups, and equipment deployment.
Conference Room & Litigation Technology Support
- Prepare conference rooms for hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
- Configure and troubleshoot Zoom and other virtual meeting technologies.
- Ensure proper operation of external cameras, speakers, microphones, and presentation equipment.
- Manage audio and video configurations for meetings involving multiple participants.
- Provide real-time technical assistance during critical legal proceedings when needed., * Assist attorneys working remotely during trials, hearings, and other litigation-related events.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues and provide guidance on document and PDF-related tasks.
- Support attorneys with time-sensitive technology issues requiring immediate resolution.
Growth & eDiscovery Support
- Learn and assist with eDiscovery processes under the guidance of the firm’s IT Manager.
- Receive training on Relativity and other litigation support technologies.
- Take on increasing responsibilities as the firm’s technology and litigation support needs continue to expand., * Full-time, in-office position.
- Directly reports to the IT Manager.
- Supports attorneys and staff across the firm.
- Occasional after-hours or weekend support may be required during trials, hearings, or urgent litigation matters, though this is not expected to be routine.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, or related technical support experience.
- Experience supporting Windows-based environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience setting up and supporting computer hardware, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work confidently and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience supporting a law firm
Preferred
Exposure to litigation support or legal technology.
- Experience supporting Zoom and conference room technology.
- Paralegal experience combined with technical support experience.
- Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms, particularly Relativity., * Calm and professional under pressure.
- Confident when supporting attorneys and handling urgent requests.
- Resourceful and naturally curious about technology.
- Willing to learn new systems and accept coaching and direction.
- Able to prioritize competing requests in a deadline-driven environment.
- Team-oriented and committed to providing exceptional service., * 1-2 years of IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, or related technical support experience.
- Experience supporting Windows-based environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience setting up and supporting computer hardware, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work confidently and professionally in a fast-paced environment., * Prior experience supporting a law firm or professional services environment.
- Exposure to litigation support or legal technology.
- Experience supporting Zoom and conference room technology.
- Paralegal experience combined with technical support experience.
