Job description

  • Design and implement testing strategies and frameworks for the utility company
  • Lead and manage a team of testers to ensure quality and timely delivery of testing
  • Develop and execute automated tests using tools such as Selenium
  • Communicate with leadership to provide updates on testing progress and any issues that arise
  • Ensure that all testing activities align with project requirements and goals
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate testing into the overall development process
  • Develop and implement automated test scripts for frontend/UI components using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
  • Conduct testing of backend services and APIs (REST, GraphQL) to ensure functionality and performance
  • Perform database validation to verify data integrity and consistency
  • Create and execute API tests using tools like Postman and RestAssured
  • Utilize testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and PyTest for backend testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies

Requirements

The client is looking for a Test lead to design and deliver a testing framework, automated testing for a utility company. The candidate should be able to communicate with leadership regarding the testing status, overall framework, and delivery of the testing., * Experience in designing and implementing testing frameworks

  • Proficiency in automated testing tools such as Selenium
  • Knowledge of utility industry and ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management Systems)
  • Strong communication skills to interact with leadership and other team members

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in testing or quality assurance
  • Experience working in a utility company or similar industry
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
