Job description

VigorCare Pediatric Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. As a leading pediatric healthcare provider, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of security and protection for our patients’ sensitive information. The Cybersecurity Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data systems and networks., * Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to protect sensitive data and systems.

  • Monitor network traffic and system logs for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to continuously improve our security posture.
  • Work closely with IT and other teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
  • Participate in the development and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure the security of third-party systems and services.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Vendor relationship building?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of network and system security, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and encryption.
  • Experience with security tools such as vulnerability scanners, SIEM, and antivirus software.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards such as HIPAA and PCI DSS.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
