Job description

Atera builds IT management software powered by Action AI - autonomous technology that manages and optimises IT environments. RMM, helpdesk, ticketing, and automation in one platform. Trusted by 13,000+ customers in 120+ countries. We’re building the future of autonomous IT., AI is reshaping IT management. That creates a gap between what our platform can do and what customers know how to unlock. As a Field Deployment AI Engineer, you close that gap. You’ll embed with enterprise customers, own deployments end-to-end, build AI-powered workflows, and drive adoption. Strong engineering instincts. A customer face. Real outcomes.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Own end-to-end deployment for enterprise accounts: kickoff, architecture, configuration, integration, handoff.
  • Customise Atera’s AI automations, RMM, and PSA modules to match each customer’s environment and workflows.
  • Build and deploy LLM-powered workflows that solve real operational problems and reach production.
  • Lead technical discovery with enterprise IT stakeholders. Translate architecture, constraints, and success criteria into a concrete deployment plan.
  • Identify repeatable patterns and codify them into playbooks and templates so the next deployment goes faster than the last.
  • Act as the technical authority during customer engagements, including on-site visits. Escalation bridge between the customer, Support, and Engineering.
  • Feed field insights back to Product and CX. You’ll be the closest person to where the product meets reality.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, * Strong engineering foundation in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Machine Learning - via degree or equivalent experience.

  • Proven coding ability in Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, C++, or similar. Comfortable writing and debugging production-grade code in a customer environment.
  • Hands-on experience building with LLMs. You know the Gen AI landscape, understand where models fail, and have shipped something real with them.
  • Solid grasp of ML fundamentals: evaluation, training pipelines, decomposing business problems into ML-solvable framing.
  • 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role: implementation, professional services, or solutions engineering.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure - Windows/Mac endpoints, Active Directory, Azure AD, networking basics. Prior RMM or PSA exposure is a strong plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for on-site customer engagements.
