Software Engineer Level I - Hardware & Software Integration (Sterling Heights, MI) About the Role Indotronix invites innovative engineers to join our team as a Software Engineer Level I specializing in Hardware and Software Integration & Test. In this dynamic role, you will integrate, verify, and test real-time embedded systems for advanced electronic and electro-mechanical platforms, including tactical military vehicles. Responsibilities - Integrate and test cutting-edge electronic and electro-mechanical systems in labs and military vehicles. - Plan and execute hardware/software integration, verification, and validation activities. - Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, scripts, and plans for embedded software

Requirements

releases. - Support software analysis, design, development, documentation, and assurance processes. - Contribute to engineering design models and develop software enhancements. - Participate in requirements, design, and code reviews to ensure compliance and quality. - Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues in test and tactical systems. - Conduct technical analysis, testing, and evaluate results using specialized tools. - Interpret and analyze design specs, drawings, and test results. Required Skills and Experience - Proficiency in C, C#, C++, or Python programming. - Understanding of modern software development and systems engineering principles. - Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline. - Relevant internship experience. - Eligibility for U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Preferred Skills - Knowledge of basic circuitry and electrical engineering. - Experience with software development tools, version control, and issue tracking. - Background in Linux and real-time embedded operating systems. - Familiarity with J1939, CAN, Ethernet, Serial protocols. - Experience using test equipment, CAN bus analyzers, and data acquisition systems. - Bachelor’s in Computer or Electrical Engineering. - One year of relevant professional experience.
