Job description

Here at BTI360, we’ve built a culture that’s passionate about developing software engineers. Software doesn’t build itself. People do. In fact, teams of people do. That’s why our primary focus is on developing better craftsmen, better teammates, and better technical leaders. By putting people first, we’re not just giving our teammates more opportunities to grow, we’re also raising the bar of the software we ship. BTI360 previously has been voted 10 years in a row as a TOP Place to Work by the Washington Business Journal.

We’re looking for multiple Front End UI React Engineers to join our growing team, and we have opportunities available for engineers across a wide range of experience levels.

What you will do in this role:

  • Work closely with teammates and stakeholders in a Lean Agile environment to build mission-critical production applications focused on data discovery and analysis

  • Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Leverage modern build tools, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality and delivery speed

  • Design and build modern, performant, responsive user interfaces using React and related technologies

  • Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver intuitive and accessible user experiences that integrate with RESTful APIs

  • Translate complex data and workflows into clear, usable interfaces focused on mission impact using Figma or other design collaboration tools

Requirements

You may thrive in this role if you have the following skills:

  • Active Security Clearance (Secret or higher) or the ability to obtain one

  • Experience with source control (e.g. Git) and CI/CD pipeline tools such as AWS CodeBuild (preferred), Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions

  • Experience designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and OOP based software in a containerized cloud environment (AWS preferred) leveraging foundational services for computing, identity management, and networking.

  • Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS

  • Proficiency in building frontend applications with React and related libraries (e.g., React Router, Redux, Zustand, etc.)

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills necessary to perform job duties and collaborate with team members

Desired skills:

  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks such as Prometheus/Grafana (preferred), CloudWatch, or ELK/EFK

  • Contributions to open-source libraries or community projects or personal projects

  • Experience with UI unit and E2E testing tools and frameworks such as (e.g., Jest, Vitest, Playwright, Cypress)

  • Familiarity with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Storybook, Tailwind CSS, Material UI)

  • Understanding of accessibility and usability best practices and tooling (e.g., JAWS, Lighthouse, Axe Devtools)

  • Experience with NextJS, Astro, or other React Metaframeworks
