Job description
We are seeking an entry-level Applications Engineer I with a Mechanical Engineering background to support Technical Product Specifications, customer-facing product documentation, product configuration, and Applications Engineering activities.
This role will work closely with Applications Engineering, Engineering, Manufacturing, Program teams, and Document Control to ensure product documentation is accurate, current, traceable, and aligned with customer requirements.
The primary focus of this role is TPS ownership and documentation accuracy, with additional support for mechanical product review, build readiness, customer application details, and product configuration., * Own and maintain Technical Product Specifications from creation through revision, approval, and release.
- Ensure product documentation is accurate, complete, current, and aligned with engineering and customer requirements.
- Partner with engineers to gather, validate, and clarify technical specifications.
- Translate engineering input into clear, structured, customer-facing documentation.
- Maintain redlines, revision history, version control, and approved documentation records.
- Support Applications Engineering with product configuration, customer application details, and technical follow-up.
- Apply Mechanical Engineering fundamentals to support product fit, mounting, packaging, physical configuration, and build-readiness reviews.
- Review drawings, BOMs, specifications, and system-level documentation as needed.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, missing data, or areas requiring clarification.
- Support change control, review workflows, and final documentation packages.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Mechanical engineering?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering?, * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- 0-3 years of experience in applications engineering support, engineering support, technical documentation, product data, or configuration management.
- Ability to understand technical concepts across hardware, software, and system-level products.
- Ability to read technical specifications, drawings, BOMs, and structured documents.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and follow-through.
- Comfortable working directly with engineers and asking questions to clarify technical details.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship, project, lab, or hands-on experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, industrial equipment, or automation.
- Familiarity with document control, PLM, revision tracking, CAD, BOMs, or product specifications.
