Application Engineer

From vibratory feeders to entire process systems, General Kinematics creates the solutions customers require to process even the most difficult materials., * Take a proactive approach in partnering with contract sales, component sales, systems, engineering, and project management to provide customers with competitive and accurate proposals.

• Develop new designs to meet customer or marketing specifications.
• Document designs using the appropriate format to company and/or customer standards.
• Provide guidance to other departments: manufacturing, engineering, customer service, through the life of the project.
• Process inbound RFQ’s from the company’s sales team.
• Prepare and issue written quotes to customers.
• Enter orders into CRM for all contract jobs.
• Process and perform development project testing.
• Accompany sales personnel to conduct field measuring and/or attend customer meetings.
• Provide guidance/status updates to customers and other departments: Engineering, Contract Sales, Sales Representatives of the contracted job.
• Fully support the Company’s ISO objectives, GK WAY, policies and procedures.

Do you have experience in Productivity software?, * Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.

• 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD, 3D Solid Modeling or other drawing software desired. (CATIA, Inventor and AutoCAD skills are preferred).
• Strong mechanical design skills with an ability to read and layout mechanical drawings.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
