Job description

Manage and automate RKE2-based Kubernetes clusters with Rancher.
-
Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible.
-
Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking, routing, VLAN, VIP, and firewall issues.
-
Integrate Kubernetes clusters with the observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, Loki).
-
Ensure production environments meet strict security and compliance standards.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and platform improvements.
Requirements
-
5 years proven expertise in Kubernetes administration (RKE2/Rancher experience strongly preferred).
-
Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation.
-
Strong background in networking across complex, multi-datacenter environments.
-
Familiarity with VMware infrastructure (vSphere/ESXi).
-
Experience operating in regulated environments (FIPS, PCI, or similar).
-
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a focus on scalability and reliability.
Nice-to-Have Skills
-
Experience with GitOps tooling (e.g., Argo CD, Flux).
-
Familiarity with container security tools (e.g., Falco, Trivy, Aqua).

Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Go).

Knowledge of service meshes (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
-
Background in high availability and disaster recovery strategies for Kubernetes.
