Java Integration Developer

Aviva is seeking a Java Integration Developer to build and maintain Java Spring Boot middleware connecting multiple enterprise systems via REST and SOAP web services for a public-sector data integration initiative. Own security configuration, monitoring, audit logging, error handling, and data masking/filtering across the integration layer., * Serve as a core developer on Java-based front-end and back-end applications

• Build custom integration code and web services connecting disparate systems
• Support new integration projects plus ongoing maintenance of existing applications
• Unit test code and support broader system testing efforts
• Troubleshoot production defects and system issues
• Maintain documentation (data dictionaries, source-to-target maps, DB standards) and code repositories
• Complete a formal application security review process

Do you have experience in Web services design?, * 8+ years Java development with Spring Boot

• 8+ years building SOAP and RESTful web services (SOA)
• 8+ years writing SQL
• 8+ years automating data processes that were previously manual
• Hands-on MDM (Master Data Management) experience
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational databases generally
• Experience building cloud-ready applications
• RabbitMQ experience
• WSDL authoring experience

Preferred

• ETL tooling
• Oracle, SQL Server, or comparable enterprise DB experience
• Metadata-driven reporting platforms
• Python or JS frameworks (Vue, React, Node/Express)
• 3-tier architecture
• AWS, Azure, or Snowflake exposure
• Agile workflow, Git/GitHub/SVN
