Job description

Ucardia is seeking a React Developer to help build clean, scalable, and reliable web-based platforms across our product ecosystem.

This role reports to the Director, Product Strategy and Operations and will work closely with Ucardia’s mobile and platform teams to develop web experiences that connect product strategy, operational workflows, member data, and care delivery.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building fast, intuitive, user-friendly web applications and is comfortable working in a startup environment where priorities move quickly, ownership matters, and product decisions are closely tied to real users.

You will collaborate across product, mobile engineering, platform engineering, operations, and leadership to develop web interfaces that support provider workflows, member visibility, scheduling, care journey management, reporting, administrative tools, and other core platform experiences.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can write high-quality React code, collaborate well across teams, and bring a strong product mindset to frontend development.

As we expand our partner-facing and internal tools, we need web experiences that are fast, clear, reliable, and easy to use. This role will directly support the development of systems that help teams view member data, coordinate support, manage workflows, track progress, and deliver a better experience at scale.

You will not be working on throwaway screens or low-impact features. You will be helping build the operational and product infrastructure behind a modern digital health platform.

What You’ll Own

Frontend Web Development

  • Build and maintain modern React-based web applications across Ucardia’s platform.
  • Develop clean, reusable components and frontend patterns that improve speed, consistency, and maintainability.
  • Translate product requirements, designs, and workflow needs into polished user experiences.
  • Improve frontend performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and usability across web-based tools.

Cross-Functional Product Collaboration

  • Partner with mobile and platform teams to ensure Ucardia’s web experiences are connected, scalable, and aligned across the broader product ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs, data models, authentication flows, and platform services.
  • Work with operations and account management teams to understand real-world workflow needs from providers, partners, and internal users.
  • Help identify product gaps, UX friction, and opportunities to simplify complex workflows.

Quality, Reliability & Scalability

  • Write reliable, testable, and maintainable frontend code.
  • Help improve frontend QA processes, release readiness, and regression testing.
  • Support bug fixes, production improvements, and ongoing platform refinement.
  • Contribute to frontend architecture decisions as Ucardia’s web ecosystem continues to grow.

  • Operate with ownership, curiosity, and strong communication.
  • Be comfortable working in an early-stage environment where priorities can shift and team members wear multiple hats.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Web applications?, * 2+ years of professional experience building web applications with React.

  • Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience building responsive, production-ready web applications.
  • Comfort working with REST APIs, authentication flows, and dynamic data-driven interfaces.
  • Ability to translate product requirements and UI designs into clean, functional frontend experiences.
  • Strong attention to detail around UX, performance, and code quality.
  • Experience using Git and modern development workflows.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and manage work in a fast-moving startup environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Next.js or other modern React frameworks.
  • Experience with component libraries, design systems, or reusable frontend architecture.
  • Experience with healthcare, digital health, wellness, SaaS, or workflow-based products.
  • Familiarity with dashboards, admin tools, provider portals, scheduling tools, reporting interfaces, or CRM-like workflows.
  • Experience working across mobile, platform, or data-heavy product teams.
  • Experience working with backend teams using Node.js, cloud infrastructure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Understanding of privacy, security, and compliance expectations in healthcare or regulated environments.
  • Experience in early-stage startups or high-growth product teams.
  • Experience using AI tools and frameworks (e.g., AI-assisted coding tools, LLM APIs, or AI-powered product features) to build faster and create smarter experiences.

  • You are collaborating effectively with product, mobile, platform, engineering, and operations teams.

  • You are helping the team move faster without sacrificing reliability or user experience.
  • You are bringing thoughtful recommendations to improve frontend architecture, QA, and product execution.
