Job description
We are seeking an experienced Unigraphics / Siemens NX Administrator to support engineering, design, manufacturing, and product lifecycle management activities for a Houston-based engineering environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining and improving the Siemens NX CAD environment, developing standards and libraries, supporting engineering users, and ensuring CAD data integrity across the organization., * Administer and maintain Siemens NX CAD environments, configurations, licenses, and user access
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for NX users, engineering teams, and manufacturing personnel
- Coordinate NX software upgrades, testing, deployment, and validation
- Develop and maintain NX installation packages, configuration files, user settings, templates, and standards
- Build and maintain standardized NX libraries, including standard parts, fasteners, purchased components, weldments, structural steel, power generation equipment, and related components
- Establish metadata structures, naming conventions, reusable design features, and parametric models
- Develop drafting standards, title blocks, layer management, and model-based definition / PMI practices
- Support CAD data management and integration with Teamcenter, PLM systems, and ERP systems
- Ensure revision control, configuration management, and CAD data integrity
- Support engineering change notices and design release workflows
- Develop NX journals, scripts, macros, and automation tools to improve engineering productivity
- Train engineering personnel on NX standards, best practices, and workflows
- Serve as the primary CAD subject matter expert for engineering teams
Requirements
Do you have experience in Version control?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, This is a strong opportunity for someone with NX administration experience in power generation, gas turbine, rotating equipment, oil & gas equipment, or heavy industrial manufacturing., * Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Design, or related field
- 5+ years of Siemens NX administration experience
- Strong knowledge of NX modeling, assemblies, drafting, PMI, and MBD
- Experience developing and maintaining NX libraries, templates, and engineering standards
- Experience supporting large engineering or design organizations
- Understanding of configuration management and revision control practices
- Experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM systems
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in power generation, gas turbine manufacturing, steam turbines, rotating equipment, oil & gas equipment, or heavy industrial manufacturing
- Experience supporting designs involving turbine components, combustion systems, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems, or structural systems
- Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, ISO, API, ASTM, or related engineering standards
- Experience with NX Open, Python, C#, VB scripting, journals, macros, or CAD automation
- Experience implementing Model-Based Enterprise or MBE initiatives
- Teamcenter administration experience, The ideal candidate has hands-on Siemens NX administration experience, not just NX design experience. This person should be comfortable owning CAD standards, libraries, templates, configuration, user support, and process improvements within a technical engineering environment.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour
