Solution Engineer

As a vital member of Plataine’s Professional Services team, the Solution Engineer plays a pivotal, customer-facing role in deploying our SaaS-based production optimization and scheduling solutions. This position blends technical expertise, manufacturing process intelligence, and project leadership to drive successful deployments, modernizing how leading manufacturers plan and execute production.

• Location: United States (Remote / Work from Home)
• Travel: Up to 40% travel to customer sites across the U.S.; international travel may be required from time to time.
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required.

Main Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Discovery: Lead process analysis and discovery workshops with operations, engineering, IT, planning, and executive stakeholders to map complex workflows, production constraints, and business goals.
• Implementation Leadership: Own deployment workstreams from end to end-covering configuration, data validation, system integration testing, user acceptance, and go-live stabilization.
• Optimization Consulting: Partner with customers to fine-tune application functionality, constraint-aware optimization logic, and operational digital twin workflows.
• Pre-Sales Collaboration: Support the sales lifecycle via discovery calls, technical scoping workshops, tailored solution demonstrations, and proposal development.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the critical bridge linking customer needs and product gaps back to internal Product, R&D, and Customer Success teams.

Do you have experience in Software implementation?, * Work Environment: Willingness and ability to work effectively from a home office setup and manufacturing environment.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: 3+ years in a customer-facing technical delivery role (e.g., Solution Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Technical PM) deploying enterprise SaaS applications.
• Domain Knowledge: Strong grasp of industrial engineering, production scheduling, operational data (proficient in Excel), and manufacturing workflows.
• Project Execution: Proven ability to manage implementation timelines, mitigate project risks, and independently drive executive and shop-floor alignment., * Advanced Manufacturing: Experience in aerospace, defense, composites, or complex, highly constrained manufacturing environments.
• Industry 4.0 & AI: Familiarity with AI-driven optimization, digital twins, digital thread concepts, or smart manufacturing initiatives.
• Enterprise Ecosystems: Experience integrating with ERP, MES, or PLM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Siemens, Dassault, PTC) via APIs and data pipelines., You are an independent, highly adaptable professional operating at the intersection of manufacturing, advanced software, and business transformation. You possess the technical credibility to design optimization models with planners, the presentation presence to command a boardroom, and the hands-on execution skills to take a complex site live.
