Job description
The Information Technology Technician is responsible for maintaining and supporting the hardware, software, networks, and security systems that keep our campuses connected and operating efficiently. This position provides both infrastructure and end-user support while working closely with church staff and ministry leaders to ensure technology enhances ministry rather than becoming a distraction., * Provide end-user support for church staff across all campuses.
- Install, configure, and maintain church-owned computers, printers, and other technology equipment.
- Support Microsoft 365 users and applications.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Test, update, and maintain network equipment and infrastructure.
- Assist in the design and implementation of wireless, Ethernet, and fiber networks.
- Monitor and manage Ubiquiti-based networking and security systems.
- Integrate new hardware and applications into existing systems and workflows.
- Maintain accurate network documentation and system records.
- Collaborate with staff members and vendors to ensure technology solutions meet ministry needs.
- Assist in planning and executing future technology projects.
- Work alongside church staff to provide timely and effective support with excellence and professionalism.
The Information Technology Technician reports to the Director of Information Technology and serves as an important member of the support team that enables ministry across all Destiny Worship Center campuses.
Areas of Responsibility
End User Support
- Support staff with computer hardware and software issues.
- Assist with Microsoft 365 applications and user accounts.
- Configure and deploy computers, printers, and peripherals.
- Provide troubleshooting and training when needed.
Infrastructure and Networking
- Support wireless, Ethernet, and fiber networks.
- Test and install updates to networking equipment.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues and maintain system reliability.
- Monitor and maintain Ubiquiti Network, Access, and Protect environments.
- Maintain network documentation and system inventories.
Security and Future Development
- Help manage physical and network security systems.
- Support integration of new technologies into existing environments.
- Participate in long-term infrastructure improvements and expansion projects.
Requirements
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, serving others, and continuously improving systems. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and able to balance day-to-day support with larger infrastructure projects., * You have experience supporting Apple devices and operating systems.
- You possess basic Linux server administration knowledge.
- You understand complex networking environments and can diagnose and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- You are familiar with Ubiquiti products and applications, including Network, Access, and Protect.
- You have experience with Microsoft 365 administration and applications.
- You are organized and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- You enjoy serving people and solving problems.
- You communicate well and work effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
- You are self-motivated, teachable, and value teamwork.
- You are detail-oriented and take pride in doing things with excellence.
- You live by biblical standards and enjoy being part of a healthy, growing church.
