Job description

The Senior Software Engineer, Ads is a generalist backend engineering position within the Ads division, which supports the organization’s mission by powering its advertising products. This role is responsible for designing and building backend services that deliver targeted advertisements, enable interactive ad experiences, and provide real-time performance measurement. The position contributes to operational stability and the development of scalable infrastructure to meet product objectives.

  1. Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with product managers to design and implement advertising products.

  • Work closely with platform and data teams to develop new features.

  • Lead initiatives to enhance operational stability, including improving code quality and creating dashboards and data visualizations.

  • Build extensible backend components aligned with product goals.

  • Manage project communication, timelines, and execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages such as Java, Scala, Go, C++, or Python.

  • Ability to take full ownership of features or projects.

  1. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
  • The base salary range for this position is 190,800 to 267,100 USD.

  • The role is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units and potentially commissions.
