Job description

The Enterprise Data Fabric Manager will be managing Carmeuse’s global Data Warehouse (DWH) and Master Data Management (MDM) systems. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic direction for data integration, governance, and stewardship, focusing heavily on building data trust by ensuring high data quality and reliability within data pipelines and architecture. This manager is responsible for aligning data management efforts with business goals, ensuring that DWH and MDM are prepared to support the major transition from SAP ECC ERP to SAP S4 HANA. This role will drive close partnership with Finance, HR and Sales teams to deliver actionable insights and continuously enhance data management practices across the enterprise. Additionally, this manager will also ensure data readiness for efficient, accurate consolidation reporting for new companies as part of Mergers & Acquisitions.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Develop, communicate, and oversee the enterprise data fabric strategy, ensuring alignment with Carmeuse’s business and technology goals.

  • Lead the implementation and management of the global data warehouse and Ataccama-based MDM solutions, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility.

  • Partner with Finance, Sales, and HR data teams to understand requirements, drive adoption, and enable effective data governance and lifecycle management.

  • Support the organization’s readiness for ERP S/4HANA migration by ensuring data structures, standards, and integrations are in place and optimized.

  • Establish and enforce best practices for data stewardship, security, and compliance, collaborating with IT and business stakeholders.

  • Monitor data platform performance, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver continuous enhancements to support evolving business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or Data Analytics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience managing enterprise data warehouse and master data management programs, ideally using Ataccama or similar platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of data governance, integration, and quality frameworks.

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or Fabric Data Stack

  • Experience supporting or leading ERP data migrations, preferably with S/4HANA.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across Finance, Sales, HR, and IT teams.

  • Analytical mindset and a commitment to driving data excellence for data driven decision making
