IT Technical Support Manager

This position will oversee and be responsible for the overall programmatic Information technology needs for the Savannah River Ecology Lab., Does this position have operation, access, or control of financial resources? Please visit the UGA Background Check website., Independently maintain the efficient operation of the SREL computer network to include monitoring connections with campus and outlying buildings. Manage, troubleshoot and repair hardware including switches, routers, and wireless access points. Percentage of time 35, Effectively handle employee’s software issues by communicating problems and solutions with faculty and staff. Percentage of time 30, Evaluate and approve IT hardware purchases, ensuring all requested devices meet compliance and network eligibility standards. Successfully integrate approved devices while mitigating network vulnerabilities. Order and deploy IT hardware as required by SREL employees. Percentage of time 20 Duties/Responsibilities Independently maintain, troubleshoot and repair conference center hardware, AV equipment and shared printers.
