Job description

  • Manage the design, development, and release process across multiple projects
  • Develop well-structured and high-performance code of high quality
  • Implement code that is performant on low-spec devices like Oculus Quest
  • Implement gameplay and support system features in VR, AR, PC, mobile, and other platforms
  • Work with other disciplines to implement graphics, animations, and audio
  • Take ownership of entire features and components of the application/game lifecycle and lead the product design and code elements.
  • Work with a team and mentor junior members to help them grow and help maintain code, product, and process quality.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Unity?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, * Bachelor or master’s degree in game development, computer sciences, or similar

  • +5 years of industry experience as a game, engine, or application developer
  • +3 released games or products of similar complexity
  • Strong programming knowledge of C# and Unity
  • Solid understanding of algorithms, game physics, and math
  • Experience building reusable components
  • Experience with maintaining larger code bases after release
  • Ability to write comprehensible code and follow coding standards
  • Experience in defining project scope and identifying technical and functional requirements
  • Maintain and use a CI/CD development pipeline
  • Establish an effective strategy and development pipeline
  • You are excited and motivated to continually develop your expertise in digital learning products, games, and emerging technologies
  • Positive attitude and desire to see those around you succeed and grow.
  • Affinity with test-driven development
  • Proficient in Dutch and/or English, * Experience with XR development
  • Experience with mobile or other, limited resource platforms
  • Experience with multiplayer and networking code
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Experience in technical documentation
  • knowledge of other programming languages (e.g. C++)
  • knowledge of other game systems (networking, audio, graphics, …)
  • Able to communicate with non-technical users
  • Experience in profiling and optimizing performance
