IT Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to act as a senior escalation point and subject matter expert within our IT team. This role will provide third-line support and technical leadership across core infrastructure services, ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of desktop, server, network, and AWS environments.

With a strong focus on uptime, resilience, and continuous improvement, you’ll play a key role in delivering reliable services aligned with SLAs, ITIL best practice, and wider business continuity requirements., * Act as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents, ensuring timely resolution aligned to SLAs

• Provide 3rd line support across desktop, applications, and core infrastructure services
• Support and maintain on-premise server infrastructure (including Hyper-V), ensuring high availability
• Manage and maintain AWS cloud services supporting ERP and critical systems
• Support network infrastructure (wired and wireless) to ensure secure, reliable connectivity
• Participate in an on-call rota to minimise business disruption
• Ensure all changes follow ITIL change management processes, with appropriate approval and documentation
• Maintain accurate ITSM records (incidents, problems, changes, CMDB)
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for recurring issues
• Identify and drive continual service improvements to enhance performance and user experience
• Mentor and support 1st and 2nd line teams, promoting best practice and knowledge sharing
• Contribute to infrastructure and business projects, including design and implementation
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to support services end-to-end

What You’ll Bring:

• Previous experience in an IT infrastructure support role
• Technical knowledge of AWS administration
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Server, Office 365, and Active Directory
• Understanding of IT networking, including Wi-Fi technologies
• Experience configuring and supporting PC hardware
• Strong understanding of ITIL principles
