Job description

We’re looking for a Digital Engineer to play a vital role in delivering high - quality building services design information as part of collaborative, multidisciplinary teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands - on digital design and modelling, wants exposure to a wide range of projects, and is keen to develop their skills in a supportive environment.

You’ll work on varied projects across the South West and beyond, contributing to technically robust, compliant, and well - coordinated building services models and drawings.

This role offers structured development, mentoring, and clear progression as your capability and confidence grow.

Key Responsibilities

Produce 3D models and drawings from mark-ups provided by the engineering or BIM team.

Assist with the preparation of feasibility, design, and contract-level building services drawings.

Identify gaps in design information and liaise with engineers to obtain missing details.

With guidance from Senior Engineers, coordinate models between building services, structure, and architectural finishes.

Compile drawing & Model packages for issue using Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe PDF and IFC.

Maintain and update drawing registers in line with company drawing control procedures.

Set up Revit models.

Uploading models and drawings to Common Data Environments (CDE).

Support the Building Performance Team by producing plans, sections, and elevations.

Have an understanding of BIM protocols, standards, Level of Detail (LOD) and Level of Information (LOI).

Work collaboratively with the wider design team to understand roles, responsibilities, and expectations.

Assist with the development, support, and training of trainees and work experience students.

Have an understanding of ISO 19650

Requirements

You are a motivated and detail - focused digital engineering professional, either progressing from a trainee role or bringing relevant engineering experience. You enjoy working as part of a collaborative team and are keen to continue developing your technical and professional capabilities within a structured and supportive environment.

You approach your work in a logical, organised manner, manage your time well, and take pride in meeting deadlines. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and confident in asking for support when needed.

You’ll Bring

Good working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD

An understanding of building services engineering, buildability, and firestopping principles.

Experience or awareness of: BIM 360 / Forma; Revizto; Clash Detection; COBie data, families, and types; Matterport point clouds; BIM Execution Plans

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Confidence using Microsoft Office and core IT systems.

A willingness to work towards a suitable BIM / Revit qualification or certification, if not already held.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

A positive, flexible attitude and the ability to work effectively within a multi - disciplinary team.
