Job description
We are excited to welcome an experienced professional engineer to our team. If you enjoy problem-solving, mentoring junior team members, and working on projects that make a difference in local communities, we would love to hear from you.
What you’ll do: You’ll work directly with clients to establish project scopes of work. You will work with staff to prepare civil design plans for bidding and construction. Your work will include using survey data and engineering calculations to support plan development, performing basic calculations for drainage and earthwork, coordinating with survey, geotechnical, and environmental partners, and participating in field visits for site verification, data collection, and construction observation. You’ll also develop technical specifications and construction cost estimates.
We are a small team that works closely together, so you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate directly with our current experienced staff and contribute in a meaningful way from the start. Strong communication and teamwork skills will help you succeed in this role.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Professional Engineer license?, Do you have experience in Project stakeholder communication?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering?, * Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering AND registration as a professional engineer in the state of Ohio
- Minimum 5 years experience as a professional engineer
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD software (such as Civil 3D); microstation (open roads) is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and innovation
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts, schedules and assignments clearly across teams
