Design Engineer

This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Design Engineer position based in New Paris, Indiana. In this role, you’ll design and develop mechanical components and assemblies with a focus on machine design and product design that support our customers’ manufacturing needs.

You’ll create and update 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation while collaborating closely with our production and machining teams to ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and cost-effective. You’ll also participate in design reviews to improve performance, reliability, and overall product quality.

If you enjoy working directly with customers to understand their needs, refine project requirements, and develop creative engineering solutions, you’ll find this role both challenging and rewarding. You’ll also support prototype and pilot builds, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, help establish design standards, and ensure designs meet safety and quality expectations.

Do you have experience in Teamwork?, * Has previous experience, training or certifications, or a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Has experience in mechanical design, machine design, or product design, preferably in a manufacturing or machining environment.
• Is proficient with CAD software for 3D modeling and 2D drafting and can produce clear, accurate engineering drawings.
• Understands GD&T and common engineering and manufacturing standards.
• Enjoys solving complex problems, pays close attention to detail, communicates effectively, and can successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
