Job description

We are seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to lead the development, validation, and deployment of CNC and mill product applications. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, manufacturable solutions for complex parts using 4-axis and 5-axis milling, integrating Laser EX systems, and collaborating closely with customers, sales, and product teams to translate requirements into robust processes and technical solutions., * Develop, optimize, and validate CNC programs and tooling strategies for Mill Products using 4-axis and 5-axis machining.

  • Design, implement, and test Laser EX integrations and hybrid processes that combine laser systems with CNC machining to meet customer requirements.
  • Lead application development projects from requirements gathering through prototype validation, documentation, and transfer to production.
  • Perform technical demonstrations, create proof-of-concept builds, and support customer trials and pilot programs.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and on-site technical support for complex machining and integration issues.
  • Collaborate with product management and R&D to communicate customer needs, influence product roadmaps, and contribute to new feature development.
  • Generate clear technical documentation, work instructions, process sheets, and training materials for internal teams and customers.
  • Mentor and train junior application engineers and technicians, promoting best practices and continuous improvement in machining and integration processes.
  • Support sales with technical proposals, cost estimates, and solution presentations to prospective customers.
  • Analyze process data, implement improvements, and maintain project schedules to meet quality and delivery targets.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Tooling design?, * 3+ years of experience in CNC applications engineering, process development, or advanced manufacturing with a focus on Mill Products.

  • Demonstrated expertise in 4-axis and 5-axis CNC programming, tooling selection, fixturing, and machining strategy.
  • Hands-on experience with Laser EX Integrations or similar laser-system integrations with CNC processes preferred.
  • Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, Siemens NX, or equivalent, and experience with CNC controls and G-code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and experience debugging complex machining issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience delivering technical presentations and customer-facing demonstrations.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites and manufacturing facilities as required.
  • Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers; experience working cross-functionally with sales, service, and product teams.
