Job description

Are you the person everyone calls when technology isn’t working? Do you enjoy solving problems, teaching others, and getting systems up and running? Blarney Castle Oil Co. is looking for a Retail Technology Specialist to support our convenience store operations and help keep our stores running smoothly.

In this role, you’ll work hands-on with retail technology systems, train store teams, troubleshoot issues, and assist with new store acquisitions and technology projects. You’ll have the opportunity to travel to our locations, collaborate with multiple departments, and play a key role in the success of our stores.

What You’ll Do

  • Install, configure, and support point-of-sale systems, computers, office equipment, and retail applications.
  • Train store managers and team members on retail systems and operational processes.
  • Troubleshoot store technology issues and provide first-line support.
  • Set up user access and maintain system documentation.
  • Create training materials and procedures to support store operations.
  • Assist with technology installations and training for newly acquired stores.
  • Collaborate with the IT team on projects and process improvements.
  • Travel to Blarney Castle locations as needed (approximately 30% travel, including occasional overnight stays).
  • Participate in an on-call support rotation outside of normal business hours.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in User training (technical support)?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Three years of experience in retail operations or retail technology environments.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to train and communicate effectively with non-technical users.
  • Experience working with computers, software applications, and related technology.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to organize and support others.
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional IT education or training is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current proof of auto insurance.
