Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive IT Support Specialist to join our technology team! In this role, you will be the frontline hero for all technical support needs, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and network systems across the organization. Your enthusiasm for troubleshooting and customer service will drive your success as you assist users, resolve technical issues swiftly, and maintain our IT infrastructure’s integrity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while making a tangible impact on daily operations., * Provide expert technical support to end-users via help desk tickets, phone calls, and in-person interactions, ensuring timely resolution of issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software problems across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Manage computer hardware including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals to optimize performance and security.
  • Configure and maintain computer networks such as LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), and firewall settings to ensure reliable connectivity.
  • Support IT infrastructure components like Microsoft Windows Server environments, Active Directory, GPO (Group Policy Objects), SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), and BMC Remedy for incident tracking.
  • Assist with network administration tasks including TCP/IP configuration, DNS management, and troubleshooting network issues using tools like Meraki and Cisco firewalls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects involving operating system deployment, software updates, security patches, and system upgrades using tools like Jira and ServiceNow.
  • Maintain documentation of support activities, asset inventories, and system configurations to ensure compliance and facilitate future troubleshooting efforts.
  • Educate users on best practices for security protocols such as VPN usage, firewall policies, and safe handling of mobile devices to protect organizational data.

Requirements

Do you have experience in ServiceNow?, * Proven experience in providing IT support with a strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software troubleshooting.

  • Solid knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN setup, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPNs, firewalls (e.g., Meraki), and network administration tools.
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT management tools such as SCCM, GPOs, Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server environments, BMC Remedy or ServiceNow for ticketing.
  • Hands-on experience supporting desktop support functions across diverse devices including mobile phones and tablets.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users while demonstrating strong customer service orientation.
  • Analysis skills for diagnosing complex problems quickly and efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or Cisco CCNA are preferred but not required.
