Job description

To manage the receipt, issue, control and physical inventory of all fixed assets for the Department of Safety and to maintain accurate records and product financial status reports as required., The supplemental job description lists the essential functions of the position and is not intended to include every job duty and responsibility specific to the position. An employee may be required to perform other related duties not listed on the supplemental job description provided that such duties are characteristic of that job title., Conducts ongoing physical inventory audits of all fixed assets for the Department of Safety to ensure accurate tracking and accountability.

Inspects incoming equipment, furniture, and other property; assigns and applies fixed asset tags in accordance with departmental procedures.

Coordinates and facilitates physical inventory operations at Department of Safety locations and facilities statewide to maintain accurate asset records and reporting.

Reconciles inventory receipts, transfers, relocations, and surplus disposals within the fixed asset database to ensure data integrity.

Maintains organized inventory records and supporting documentation for audits, compliance reviews, and year-end reporting requirements.

Assists with equipment setup, relocation, and transportation for divisions within the Department of Safety.

Prepares surplus equipment and required documentation for transfer to White Farm; safely handles equipment weighing up to 40 pounds and prepares pallets for transport.

Performs assigned supervisory duties, including training staff, coordinating work assignments, and assisting with employee performance evaluations.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Warehouse logistics management?, YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education., Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 2 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in business administration, logistics, warehouse operations, supply chain, inventory, or operations management or a related field.

License/Certification: Valid driver’s license.

Other Requirements: Must pass a fingerprint based criminal background check and motor vehicle record check in order to ensure suitability for exposure to confidential information., Experience with asset or inventory database or software, physical inventory, inventory management, inventory reporting.
